Who Will Die in The Avengers?

Marvel Studio’s The Avengers is finally here! It’s been a long time coming and it’s a huge hit, which makes sense because it’s been a while since the world got a taste of witty dialogue, colorful characters, and high stakes action-adventure. Fans of the genre have been patiently waiting for this movie, and it’s finally here! Let’s take a look at who will die in The Avengers…

Ironman

Perhaps the most recognizable name on this list is Robert Downey Jr’s Ironman. The character made his debut in the first Ironman movie back in 2008 and he hasn’t been seen since. Downey Jr is one of the biggest names in Hollywood, and he’s never been one to shy away from a role. He recently said that he’d be open to returning as Ironman in a future installment, so the chances are good that we’ll see him pop-up somewhere in the MCU. If they want to bring back a OG Avenger, it’s certainly Downey Jr.

Black Widow

Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow is another name that you’ll likely recognize. The character was introduced back in 2010 in the Marvel cinematic universe and has gone on to appear in multiple solo films. Most recently, she was seen as a main character in Avengers: Endgame. Like most of the other characters on this list, Black Widow is also a legacy character and she’ll most likely be appearing in future MCU films. There’s a good chance that we’ll be seeing more of Johansson as Black Widow.

Thor

Chris Hemsworth’s Thor is yet another one of Marvel’s most recognizable faces. The character first appeared back in 2011 and has since become a popular fixture in the MCU. Hemsworth’s acting resume is pretty impressive, and he’s definitely a talent to watch. It would be a shame to see such a big name like Hemsworth go out on an average movie, but it’s something that we’ll have to get used to. Marvel Studios knows how to work with superstitions, and they’ll likely put the “Thor” name on the good folks of Oklahoma before long.

Hulk

There’s no question that Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk is the biggest and the baddest of Marvel’s big red guy-themed characters, first appearing back in 2008’s Ironman. He’s a larger than life character who often causes problems for the Avengers- but that’s because he wants to be the best! It’s always nice to see such a large-than-life character get his just deserts. Ruffalo has been a staple in the MCU since 2008 and has gone on to appear in multiple solo films as well as Avengers Assemble. It’s safe to say that the Hulk has become one of the most popular and well-known character in the MCU. He’s no stranger to tragedy, either, having lost a step-mother, father, and brother in the past. This year, he became a father for the first time, which seems to have mellowed him out somewhat. There’s a good chance we’ll be seeing more of Ruffalo as Bruce Banner and the Hulk in the future.

Vision

Samuel L. Jackson’s Vision is another Avenger who needs no introduction. The character first appeared back in 2011’s The Avengers and has gone on to become one of its most popular members. Jackson is well known for his gruff voice and his ability to bring a level-headed approach to even the most ridiculous situation. The character has appeared in multiple solo films as well as Avengers Assemble and Endgame and he’ll most likely be appearing in future MCU films. Vision is also a legacy character and there’s a good chance we’ll be seeing more of him.

Hawkeye

Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye first appeared back in 2011’s The Avengers and has gone on to become one of the franchise’s most popular members. Like many of the other characters on this list, Renner hasn’t been seen much in recent years. However, he did appear in Avengers: Endgame this year. Hawkeye is also a legacy character and there’s a good chance we’ll be seeing more of him in the future.

Cap

Last but not least, let’s not forget about Captain America! Steve Rogers’ Captain America first appeared back in 1941 and went on to become one of Marvel’s most popular characters. The character has since become a fan-favoritest of many due to his optimism, bravery, and integrity. Like many of the other characters on this list, the real-life Steve Rogers has been in multiple movies. There’s a good chance we’ll be seeing more of him in the future.

It’s been a while since we last saw these characters, but this year they’ve returned with a bang! Many expected this year’s Avengers to underperform, considering all the horrible buzz surrounding it. However, the film turned out to be a massive hit and it’s probably the best MCU film yet! With so many characters dying in this movie, it’s only right that we should look back at who will die in the other MCU films. There have been some incredible deaths in the MCU, but these are some of the most unforgettable ones!
