What is O/U and O/U in Baccarat?

If you have ever played Baccarat, then you know what O/U and O/U mean. If not, then here is a quick guide:

O/U

This is the abbreviation for “over under”, and it simply means that the player has to bet more than the bank in order to win. The over under in Baccarat is 1.5 times the initial bet. For example, if the player bets $10 on a $5 game, he or she is betting $15, not $10 as was initially placed.

O/U In Baccarat

This abbreviation is just like O/U, but it is used for specifying the limit on the bet for “over under” situations. For example, if the player bets $25 on a $5 game with an O/U in Baccarat of 2.0, then he or she is betting $50 or more, not $25 as was initially bet.

U

This is the abbreviation for “unit”, and it simply means that the value of the bet is one unit. For example, if the player bets $10 on a $5 game, then he or she is betting $20, not $10 as was initially bet.

U In Baccarat

Like U, this abbreviation is used when indicating the unit of the bet. It is short for “unit”, just like the previous one. For example, if the player bets $20 on a $5 game, then he or she is betting $40, not $20 as was initially bet.
