Where to Go After Betting Your Rival in Pokémon Crystal

If you’re reading this, I assume you’re either a huge Pokémon (知元) fan or you’ve just finished Pokémon Crystal (斯皮尔克特). If you’re interested in what happens next in the world of Pokémon, then keep reading!

A little while after the events of Pokémon Crystal, the manga sequel, Pokémon Diamond (黑豆蔻), was released in Japan. This anime series follows the adventures of Ash Ketchum and his companions on their journey to become Pokémon Masters and capture the legendary Pokémon, and so on. It was later adapted into an anime movie, which was then followed by a sequel anime series, Pokémon Diamond and Pearl (黑豆蔻篇).

While the main plot of Diamond and Pearl involves Ash and his friends trying to reach the top of the Pokémon food chain, the two new series revolve around the two sister Pokémon, Deoxys and Dialga. The main character of Deoxys, the anime’s titular Pokémon, is literally a god in the Pokémon world. As you will see, this divine Pokémon, along with its companion, can get pretty tricky. After dealing with these two, it’s time for our boy Ash to face off against the ultimate Pokémon master from the original series: Master Roshi.

The First Steps to Becoming A Pokémon Master

Let’s start with the basics, just like any good story should. What are you supposed to do to become a Pokémon master? Well, the first step is to catch a starter Pokémon (露西蘭), which can be any of the three Pokémon that appear in the original Pokémon Crystal.

You will then have to choose between Charmander, Squishy, or Raichu as your starter Pokémon. Once you have selected one of these three, the next step is to go on a Pokémon journey (冒險) with your starter Pokémon. You will travel around the regions of Kanto, Johto, and so on, visiting places like Lumiose and recording your experiences, which will then become manga chapters or anime episodes.

This is where your starter Pokémon’s level will start to matter. The higher its level, the harder it will be for you to navigate the world. You’re going to have to spend a lot of time in Poké Stops (時計) to level up, so make sure you’re comfortable spending a decent amount of time there. Once you finally catch a certain number of Poké Stops, you will receive a visit from a Pokémon trainer in a red shirt (紅蠥貓), who will give you a Pokémon license (資料保管書). This is like a red envelope in real life, but this envelope will give you the ability to catch certain Pokémon in Poké Stops. The number of Pokémon you can catch in any given stop will increase with each level up, but the higher your level is, the faster the Pokémon are going to be leaving the stop.

What is a Poké Stop? Believe it or not, these are the small stations where you can refill your Pokémon food supply. In the anime, you can see the red envelopes being handed out to the heroes by a man in a red shirt, who will then lead them on a journey towards becoming greater trainers. A Poké Stop is a great place to level up because it allows you to capture a large number of Rattata, Pidgey, and other small, cute Pokémon.

If you are having trouble deciding which route to take after selecting your starter Pokémon, then you can always save the game and quit to return later. You can see that there is no real rush to make any decisions here because you will not lose any progress once you have saved the game.

How to Deal with Bosses and Teammates

So now that you’re ready to begin your journey, it’s time to meet your first adversary: a Gym Leader. A Pokémon gym (哥伴店) is where you can train your Pokémon to fight other people’s Pokémon. You will have to battle other teams of Pokémon in order to successfully navigate the world of Pokémon. These battles are called Pokémon contests (比賽) and the rewards for winning are beneficial items called Poké Badges (佐藤貴族).

Your first step in dealing with a Gym Leader is to request a Pokémon battle. Once you have done this, the leader will shout out various teams of three or four and give you a short time to decide which team you will use. You want to choose a team that you feel confident will beat the opposing team. The better your Pokémon are at battling, the greater success you will have in winning these contests and gaining experience points (EXP).

If you are using the original Pokémon game, then there is no right or wrong answer here. You will either get the best of someone else’s Pokémon or you get owned by a higher leveled Pokémon. There is no shame in either case, and in the grand scheme of things, it’s all part of the fun. The key here is to have a plan before entering into any kind of negotiation. You don’t want to just go in there and wing it, because this will only lead to you losing a battle that you could have otherwise won.

The Evolution Of Pokémon

Once you have some experience under your belt, it’s time to evolve your Pokémon. Evolving a Pokémon is a crucial step in the hero’s journey in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl because you need a certain number of levels before you can evolve a specific species of Pokémon. This number will vary depending on the type of Pokémon you are attempting to evolve, but it is somewhere between 100 and 200, depending on which route you took. For example, if you tried to evolve Vulpix, the number will be around 200, but if you tried to evolve Squirtle, the number will be around 100.

As you can see, every Pokémon has a different stat distribution when you evolve it. Your main task is to ensure that the new Pokémon you obtain is viable in battle. The game will then present you with a variety of evolutions and you will have to choose between them. You will then have to find a way to train this new Pokémon to be as effective as possible. The number of levels a Pokémon needs before it can evolve will also determine the rarity of that specific species of Pokémon (種族) in the Pokémon world. For example, if you catch a Torchic, you will be able to evolve it into a Tyranoh. However, if you caught a Wartortle, you will not be able to evolve it into a Torchy.

The Ultimate Goal: Beating The Master Roshi

Once you have beaten the six Gyms that appear in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, it’s time to take on the ultimate adversary: Master Roshi. In order to win the ultimate battle, you will have to capture all of the Pokémon that appear in the original Crystal and then defeat Master Roshi. There is no other way to become the ultimate Pokémon master.

Master Roshi is like the God of Darkness or the Devil himself in the Pokémon world. He is the last of the Gyms that appear in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl and the only one you need to worry about if you want to become the ultimate Pokémon master. In order to deal with this terrifying adversary, you will need to utilize all the skills you have learned along the way. Make sure you are prepared for the fight, as it will be one of the most challenging battles you have ever faced. There is also no shame in losing to Master Roshi either, because this is all part of the plan.

Whew, that was a lot to take in! Hopefully, you now have a good idea of what happens next in the world of Pokémon after betting your rival in the original game. While there are seven sequels to the original Pokémon series, none of them continue directly from the events of Crystal. Instead, they are set years or even decades after the fact. One significant point to make is that all of the Pokémon from the original series can still be found in the new regions of Pokémon gold and silver, showing how far the series has come since its initial release. The world of Pokémon is an ever expanding universe that keeps on giving!
