Biden
If you’re looking to place a wager on who will be the next president, then you need to turn to Biden. After leading the pack for months, the former Vice President has seen his odds drop following a disappointing performance in the first presidential debate. Since the second debate, he’s seen his support drop by 2%–3% in most polls, as other candidates have risen up the charts.
While Biden has been gaining support among independent voters in recent months, his support among Democrats hasn’t followed suit. In fact, some polls show that 42% of Democrats now support their former Vice President, compared to 35% who back Sanders and 19% who back Trump. If you’re looking to make a wager on the next president, go with Biden. He’s still the safe choice – and he might just save your wallet in the process.
Sanders
If you want to find out who will be the next president, then you need to look no further! Since most people have already pledged their support for Sanders, let’s take a quick peek at what the 78-year-old senator has been up to since the last presidential election.
In the Senate, Sanders has passed legislation that would lower prescription drug prices, passed the largest Medicare For All bill in history, helped draft the Green New Deal, and has repeatedly called for a cancelation of Super PAC funds. While he may not be able to stop all political spending, he can certainly chip away at it. He’s also gained support throughout the country, even in traditionally red states like Arizona and Utah. If you’re looking for an outsider who can bring change to Washington, go with Sanders. He’s still the most popular choice among Democrats, and if he continues to gain support, he might just be able to take down Biden and Trump in 2020.
Trump
Finally, we arrive at the candidate many people consider to be the king of all politics: Donald Trump. Despite an ongoing investigation into his ties with Russia and his campaign’s possible collusion with the Kremlin, Trump continues to lead the GOP field in polls. While he might not seem like a good choice at first glance, the President has been an incredible boon for bookmakers.
